Céline Dion's Paris Return: The Boucheron Jewels, the Dior Gown, and a Sentimental Story
Céline Dion opened her Paris residency on September 12 in Boucheron diamonds and a custom Dior gown, and she has since explained why one necklace feels so special.
Céline Dion’s return to the concert stage was as much a musical spectacle as it was a sparkling one.
The singer debuted her Paris residency on September 12 at the Plenitude Arena, her first full concert in over six years. Kicking off the concert, she wore a stunning set of Boucheron diamonds that added up to more than 500 carats.

According to Boucheron, in an Instagram post highlighting the event, the necklace from the brand’s 2026 Histoire de Style High Jewelry collection is named after the historic 26 Place Vendôme address, where Frédéric Boucheron opened a boutique.
The necklace features a 10.1-carat diamond, which is inspired by an archival Boucheron piece with an octagonal shape resembling the Place Vendôme. It also includes baguette, round, and emerald-cut diamonds and took 1,107 hours to make.
In an Instagram video posted October 1, Dion was emotional explaining why the Boucheron necklace was special, saying her late husband, René Angélil, who died in 2016, always wore Boucheron perfume. "It's something that makes me feel like René is still here," she said. She added, "It's never been worn. It's unique. Just like René."
Dion also wore the jeweler’s gold ring called Fuzzy, the Leopard Cat, featuring a set of diamonds and an 18.17-carat cushion-cut green tourmaline.
On seeing Dion wear their jewelry pieces, Boucheron creative director Claire Choisne was “deeply honored,” describing it as a “dream come true.”
Dion’s Boucheron jewels complemented an all-black custom Dior gown she wore for her opening number, accented with a pleated peplum skirt. The Jonathan Anderson creation is inspired by the “Francis Poulenc” gown from Dior’s Spring-Summer 1950 Haute Couture collection, named after the French composer and pianist who was a good friend of Christian Dior.
Dion’s residency runs until May 29, 2027.
